Digital transformation is driving growth for our architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AECO) customers. They’re seeing investments deliver 50% improvements in everything from productivity and innovation to customer satisfaction and company reputation, according to the 2025 State of Design & Make report.
For many, the next big step in digital transformation is moving to the cloud, where it’s easier to collaborate and gain data insights that help them expand their businesses. This shift has presented a growing demand for regionalization to better meet customer preferences and requirements.
To give our customers greater choice and control over their project data, we’re excited to share an expansion of our Autodesk Regional Offerings. Now, customers can choose the UK, Germany, India, Japan, and Canada as their primary data storage region for these Autodesk products:

New Autodesk Regional Offerings help us better meet customer preferences and local data requirements.
Supporting greater customer choice
Customers, like Reds10, consider in-region data to be essential to their business.
“Data is foundational to everything we do—we need it to be secure and compliant with UK law,” said Scott Laird, AI & technical director at Reds10, a UK-based advanced construction specialist focused on sustainable modern methods of construction (MMC) buildings for the public sector. “As an organization working exclusively on government-led projects, data security, compliance, and trust are non-negotiable. The Autodesk Regional Offering in the UK supports our commitment to local data storage requirements by ensuring project data remains within UK jurisdiction. This local hosting not only strengthens our compliance posture but also reassures our clients that their data is handled with the highest standards of integrity and care.”
Our Autodesk Regional Offerings are supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
“AWS is proud to deepen our decades-long strategic partnership with Autodesk through their expansion of regional data offerings, enabling customers to store their data closer to where they operate,” said Colin Lazier, vice president of Databases at AWS. “By leveraging AWS’s global infrastructure across the UK, Germany, India, Japan, and Canada, Autodesk is addressing the growing demand for data residency while delivering the performance, security, and scalability that architecture, engineering, construction, and operations professionals need. This expansion reflects our shared commitment to providing customers with the flexibility and control they require to accelerate their digital transformation journeys.”
Building the future of design and make
This work is incredibly important in delivering on the promise of Autodesk’s Design and Make Platform as the accelerant to digital transformation.
Across all the tools and offerings on our platform, we are committed to high standards for security, privacy, resiliency, and recoverability, so customers can trust their data is secure, protected, and resilient.
The future of the AECO industry is being built on data. By expanding our global footprint of regional offerings, we’re empowering even more customers to be ready for this future. And we’re just getting started.
