Yesterday, the United States welcomed a new Administration with the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

By ushering in newly-elected Administration – as well as the recently sworn in 117th Congress – we, as a country, also usher in a new era of opportunities. It’s a chance to build resiliency amid what has been a relentless pandemic, strengthen our economy, better prepare our workforce, support sustainable development, and more.

It’s crucial that the incoming Biden-Harris Administration, as well as those elected to serve in the 117th Congress, seize this important opportunity to create transformational change and build a better future – one that’s more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable.

This is no small task. And it will require cooperation between government and the private sector. In order to achieve transformational change, we need to face these immense challenges together and collaborate in completely new ways across sectors, industries, and disciplines.

As a leader in design and make software for construction, manufacturing and other key industries, Autodesk looks forward to serving as a resource for the new Administration and Congress as they develop policies to help our country recover from the pandemic and meet the challenges of a transforming economy.

Autodesk recently shared our policy recommendations for the new Administration and Congress that span six areas – each of which aims to help American workers and businesses rebuild, strengthen key sectors of our economy, and create more inclusive economic opportunities:

  • Improving Infrastructure Development and Creating Jobs
  • Supporting Advanced Manufacturing
  • Enabling More Sustainable Construction and Manufacturing
  • Fostering Emerging Technologies
  • Scaling Up Skills Development for the Future of Work
  • Ensuring Equal Opportunity, Diversity and Inclusion

Autodesk congratulates President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Members of Congress on their elections, and we look forward to working together to achieve a better future for all.
