Adrien Semail, long-standing APN board member, recently shared more about this year\u2019s theme, \u201cCelebrating Authenticity.\u201d He noted, \u201cBringing your best, authentic self is your superpower. This year, we celebrate the resilience of the LGBTQ+ community in the face of forces that try to deny our identities and self-expression. We also celebrate the wins across the globe bringing us closer to full equality.\u201d The celebrations start with a global event featuring the incredible <a href=\"https:\/\/asiaoharaland.com\/\">Asia O&#8217;Hara<\/a>, a star from season 10 of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtv.com\/shows\/rupauls-drag-race\"><em> RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/em><\/a>. Local chapters will also host virtual and in-person events throughout the month.\u202fWe have two guest speakers from Autodesk who will participate in <a href=\"https:\/\/powertofly.com\/events\/summit\/pride\">Power to Fly\u2019s \u201cPride Summit<\/a>.\u201d And APN members will be featured on our social channels and <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/autodesk-life\/\">Autodesk Life<\/a> blog throughout the month. <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Celebrating Pride Month 2023 with Autodesk Pride Network\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JWkS6SLs6wQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe> <\/p>\n<p class=\"video-caption-text js-video-caption-text\">Meet members of the Autodesk Pride Network.<\/p>\n<p> In addition to our programming, we\u2019ll join many other organizations in making minor aesthetic changes like switching to a special Pride logo on our Brand social media channels for the month. We do this because we know being seen matters. But it\u2019s important to me that we reiterate our support of LGBTQ+ employees doesn\u2019t end there. At Autodesk, we are focused on fostering a culture of belonging where all employees have equitable opportunities to succeed and contribute. We strive to create an environment where everyone, everywhere, can fully optimize their talents. And this belief doesn\u2019t end when June does. Since 2017, we\u2019ve received a perfect 100 on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrc.org\/\">Human Rights Campaign\u2019s<\/a> (HRC) annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrc.org\/resources\/buyers-guide\/autodesk-inc.\">Corporate Equality Index<\/a>. With anti-LGBTQ+ legislation on the rise globally, we\u2019ve also taken steps to support the HRC\u2019s efforts. For example, over the summer, we aligned with more than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrc.org\/press-releases\/human-rights-campaign-mobilizes-more-than-170-businesses-over-20-000-supporters-in-support-of-respect-for-marriage-act-senate-vote\">170 businesses<\/a> urging the Senate to safeguard marriage equality nationwide and we\u2019ve joined the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrc.org\/resources\/business-statement-on-anti-lgbtq-state-legislation\">list of companies<\/a> to oppose state level legislation targeting the LGBTQ+ community. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"https:\/\/adsknews.autodesk.com\/en\/news\/best-employers-for-diversity-2023\/\">Learn<\/a> more\u202fabout what makes Autodesk one of Forbes\u2019 Best Employers for Diversity 2023.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> We have a history of standing up for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community and have long supported flexibility and choice in the healthcare options available to our employees and their families. Here are some of the ways we\u2019re supporting our LGBTQ+ employees and their families: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Autodesk is proud to offer medical plan coverage that recognizes the unique health care needs and challenges LGBTQ+ members may face, and we\u2019re proud to partner with medical plan providers who are committed to treating all members with respect and dignity, including gender-affirmation benefits.<\/li>\n<li>Through Autodesk\u2019s\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/benefits.autodesk.com\/everyday-living\/family-support#Money\">Make a Family program<\/a>, employees and their families can be reimbursed up to $10,000 per calendar year for adoption, IVF or co-maternity, surrogacy, and egg or sperm freezing services.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/benefits.autodesk.com\/everyday-living\/employee-assistance-program\">Lyra<\/a>\u202fprovides care for emotional and mental health, how, when, and where it\u2019s needed, at no cost to employees. Services include 20 free coaching or therapy visits a year, per covered family member. Providers who specialize in LGBTQ+ issues can be requested.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.araglegal.com\/\">ARAG legal<\/a> insurance plan\u202fhelps enrolled members pay for routine legal matters, such as adopting a child, guardianships, and more. ARAG can also help with matters like gender-identity changes on government-issued documents, hospital-visitation authorizations, and funeral directives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> APN also takes active steps to support LGBTQ+ rights. For example, last fall, <a href=\"https:\/\/adsknews.autodesk.com\/en\/stories\/grantmaking-pilot\/\">every Autodesk ERG<\/a> selected two nonprofit organizations to receive a donation through a grantmaking pilot. APN selected the\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/transgenderlawcenter.org\/\">Transgender Law Center<\/a>\u202fand\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rainbowrailroad.org\/\">Rainbow Railroad<\/a>\u202fto each receive $10,000. This year, APN is encouraging Autodeskers to donate to these two organizations during Pride month.
