That\u2019s just one example of alternative ways to cool our structures as we face the uncomfortable truth that the hydro-fluorocarbons in conventional air conditioning units warm our planet\u2014and doesn\u2019t that kind of defeat the purpose? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.architectmagazine.com\/technology\/air-conditioners-cool-us-but-they-are-heating-the-planet_o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Architect Magazine showcases recent breakthroughs.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cAccording to a May 2018\u00a0<\/em><em><u>International Energy Agency<\/u><\/em><em>\u00a0(IEA) report, worldwide demand for air conditioning will likely triple by 2050. [According to the report,] \u2018The global stock of air conditioners in buildings will grow to 5.6 billion by 2050, up from 1.6 billion today\u2014which amounts to 10 new ACs sold every second for the next 30 years.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Good job. <\/strong>Automation will create more jobs than it will displace\u2014that\u2019s the good news. The more challenging news?
