Recovery is about more than rebuilding what was lost. It’s an opportunity to create stronger, more resilient communities that can support people for generations to come.  <\/span>Today, I’m proud to share that Autodesk has joined the Ukraine Cities Partnership (UCP) as its lead technology partner. Led by the German Marshall Fund (GMF), the initiative brings together cross-sector organizations to support the recovery of smaller Ukrainian cities through inclusive, sustainable, and resilient development.  <\/span>Around the world, we’ve learned that successful recovery requires coordinating people, data, infrastructure, and long-term planning at scale. Through our work supporting the restoration of Notre-Dame Cathedral<\/a> after the devastating 2019 fire to helping coordinate rebuilding and recovery efforts following the Los Angeles wildfires<\/a>, we’ve seen how digital tools can help stakeholders align around a shared vision, evaluate options more quickly, and make informed decisions in complex environments. We’re bringing those lessons and expertise to this partnership as communities plan for long-term renewal.  <\/span>As lead technology partner, Autodesk will support three core areas of the initiative: urban planning and development, engineering and infrastructure, and digital capacity building. We will provide software solutions and technical expertise to help project teams coordinate planning, design, visualization, and simulation activities, beginning with partners involved in the UCP pilot city, Korosten, located northwest of Kyiv.  <\/span>“Communities across Ukraine are already laying the groundwork for their future,\u201d said Hannah Abdullah, Senior Fellow at the German Marshall Fund. \u201cThrough the Ukraine Cities Partnership, organizations can contribute their unique strengths toward that effort. Autodesk brings valuable technology and experience to the initiative that can help local leaders turn rebuilding plans into lasting progress.”  <\/span>Recovery on this scale requires collaboration across sectors and borders. That’s why we’re honored to work alongside the German Marshall Fund, AECOM<\/a>, BDP<\/a>, DELTA<\/a>, local leaders, and other partners who share a commitment to helping Ukrainian communities rebuild in ways that are resilient, sustainable, and responsive to local needs.  <\/span>While the challenges facing Ukraine are immense, so too is the determination of the people and communities leading this work.
