Image courtesy of Brian Jeong.<\/p><\/div> Each year in December, the Autodesk Foundation spearheads a Global Month of Giving (GMOG) campaign, encouraging employees globally to contribute to nonprofits they care about by making donations, volunteering, or participating in local events with other employees. This annual initiative was established ten years ago to raise awareness for local causes and empower employees to make positive changes in their communities around the world. From November 25 through December 31, 2024, more than 1,650 Autodesk employees came together to support over 2,000 global nonprofits and logged over 7,300 volunteer hours. The company\u2019s matching program, which covers donations and volunteer hours up to $5,000 USD per employee, amplified the impact of every contribution, resulting in $2.1 million in matched donations. In addition, this year GMOG featured 18 in-person events organized by dedicated Impact Champions, employee volunteers who organize local activities and rally their colleagues to participate. These events ranged from collecting warm clothes and serving meals at the Atlanta Mission to painting a local children&#8217;s school in Pune. In Seoul, employees made Corny Dolls to help children with emotional regulation, while in Denver, employees held a toy drive that resulted in gifts for over 500 families in the area. It\u2019s about the connections made, the lives touched, and the positive impact driven by collective efforts. This initiative fosters a culture of giving back and helps strengthen employees&#8217; sense of belonging, purpose, and connection across offices and teams. &#8220;Promoting philanthropy and volunteerism is an important part of what we do at the Autodesk Foundation,&#8221; said Jean Shia, managing director of the Autodesk Foundation. &#8220;It\u2019s inspiring to see employees band together to support their communities during Global Month of Giving &#8211; so many of them give with their hearts to the causes most important to them.&#8221; &#8220;For the past four years, I\u2019ve been a volunteer treasurer for Schizo ? \u2026 Oui!, a courageous French mental health non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by schizophrenia and supporting their families,\u201d said Maria Cadillon, account sales executive at Autodesk. \u201cI\u2019m proud to personally donate and volunteer my time to this cause, and even prouder that Autodesk supports me each year through its employee matching program via the Autodesk Foundation.
