Autodesk achieves ISO 42001 certification for responsible AI governance<\/p><\/div> <\/div>\n

I’m excited to announce that Autodesk has joined a select few companies worldwide in receiving the <\/span>International Organization for Standards<\/span><\/a> (ISO) certification for our artificial intelligence (AI) management system (AIMS) supporting the Autodesk AI\/ML Portal (AMP), our central platform for developing customer-facing AI products and features. This recognition underscores our commitment to<\/span> responsible and impactful AI use and innovation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The certification is the world\u2019s first international standard for AI management systems. It provides a framework for organizations to develop, deploy, and monitor AI technologies responsibly. Achieving it isn\u2019t just a compliance milestone\u2014it\u2019s a clear signal that Autodesk is serious about building AI in a way that is ethical, transparent, and accountable.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What this means for our customers\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

AI has become a major accelerator in how our customers design and make. Whether it\u2019s automating repetitive tasks, augmenting creativity through generative tools, or analyzing large volumes of data to inform better decisions, AI is increasingly powering the future of work.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But with these advancements come new challenges, including questions around data privacy, bias, explainability, and security. Customers rightly want to know that the AI systems they\u2019re using are trustworthy, especially when these systems influence critical decisions or creative output.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ISO 42001 gives our customers the confidence that Autodesk is building AI with clear safeguards and governance in place. The standard requires rigorous controls across risk management, accountability structures, and lifecycle oversight from design to deployment. It also mandates continuous monitoring and improvement of AI systems.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In short, this certification shows our customers that we\u2019re not just innovating with AI\u2014we’re doing it responsibly.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Autodesk\u2019s Trusted AI program\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Earning ISO 42001 is a major milestone in our broader <\/span>Trusted AI<\/a><\/strong> program, which guides how we develop and govern artificial intelligence across Autodesk.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our approach is grounded in five core principles: responsibility, transparency, accountability, reliability, and safety & security. These aren\u2019t just theoretical ideas\u2014they <\/span>translate into practical actions<\/span><\/a> across every stage of AI development. We conduct risk assessments before deploying AI features and test for fairness and unintended bias in our models. We also implement human-in-the-loop systems where needed and regularly review AI systems to ensure they\u2019re working as intended.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
