A pumping station in AutoCAD.
AI is rapidly reshaping how people learn, solve problems, and get work done. As AI-powered assistants become more embedded in everyday workflows, the quality and trustworthiness of the information behind them have never mattered more. At Autodesk, trust is foundational to how we bring AI to the people who design and make the world around us. That commitment shapes how we embed Autodesk Assistant into our products, using AI to surface helpful guidance and support so customers can stay focused in their workflows. And now, we’re taking the next step of that journey. Today, Autodesk announces the public release of the Autodesk Product Help MCP Server: a new, read-only service that allows AI agents outside Autodesk products to securely access Autodesk’s help documentation. The service enables AI agents to deliver answers grounded in trusted, up-to-date Autodesk documentation, supporting faster learning and problem solving.
What the Product Help MCP Server enables
The Product Help MCP Server provides access to Autodesk Help content across 110+ products. That breadth matters. Whether someone is getting started with a product, exploring new capabilities, or resolving an issue, AI assistants can now reference authoritative Autodesk documentation, reducing friction and accelerating understanding. This launch reflects a broader belief we have at Autodesk: AI works best when it’s connected to real domain knowledge. Large language models (LLMs) are powerful, but when they’re paired with high-quality, product-specific information, they become far more useful for real-world work. For our customers, this means less guesswork, faster answers, and guidance they can trust. The Autodesk Product Help MCP Server is available today at no cost. As AI continues to evolve, we’re excited to help shape an ecosystem where innovation is paired with reliability. We’re proud to be gold-level members of the Agentic AI Foundation, collaborating with others across the industry to advance open protocols, tooling, and best practices for agent-based AI systems. Looking ahead, Autodesk plans to continue exploring ways to expand MCP support, both within Autodesk Assistant and through additional MCP-based offerings. In our exploration, we’ll remain focused on enabling trustworthy, practical AI experiences for the people who design, build, and make across industries.
